Apple wine walk

Why do people in Frankfurt drink Apple wine instead of traditional wine from grapes? How is this rough cider produced?...

Many facts and legends are linked to the most traditional drink in Frankfurt, the apple wine (or “Äppelwoi”).

During a walk from the old town down to Sachsenhausen  - the home of apple wine. On the way you will learn about the link is between Frankfurt and the so called “Stöffche”.

And because just listening can be exhausting and makes us thirsty, the tour starts with a “Schoppe” (a glass of applewine) served in a “Geripptes” (the traditional ribbed glass).
